on e-cigarettes in Taiwan, and youth can easily obtain e-cigarettes through various channels, which has already resulted in a new kind of health crisis. Youth are more easily attracted by different flavor additives in cigarettes which cover up the spicy and pungent taste of the tobacco. Results of U.S. CDC 2013-2014 surveys reveal that about 7 out of 10 smokers use flavored tobacco; and 4 out of 10 youth smokers in Taiwan use flavored tobacco (37.5% of junior high school smokers and 40.7% of senior high school and vocational high school smokers). These emerging tobacco products are "sugar-coated poison", which are seemingly fashionable and cool, combines technology and electronic products, appealing to youth and make them become addicted to smoking as they are misled that flavored tobacco are less harmful than regular tobacco. Therefore, in order to protect children and youths from smoking, the "Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act" amendment urgently needs to be actively promoted to improve e-cigarette control and restrict flavored tobacco. Create a Smoke-Free Environment; Say "No" to Secondhand and Thirdhand Smoking In the past decade, secondhand tobacco smoke exposure have dropped significantly in non- smoking areas and indoor public spaces, covering more than 90% smoke-free environments. However, the results of the 2018 "Youth Smoking Behavior Survey" revealed that about 30% junior, senior and vocational high school students are still exposed to secondhand smoke at home. Many people do not know that there is no safe does of secondhand and thirdhand smoke exposure, even a little secondhand or thirdhand smoke can be dangerous. Therefore, all governments actively created a smoke-free environment, and announced outdoor public places such as crowds gethered, bus lanes, bus shelters and campus roadways are non- smoking areas. The county and city health bureaus restrict smoking, expand the non-smoking areas, and strengthen the investigation and counseling of smoke prevention through volunteer patrols, while forging a community consensus through inter-departmental meetings, and dedicate effort on providing a better non-smoking environment. The Health Promotion Administration also cooperate with NGOs to organized an international smoking cessation contest"QUIT & WIN" in 2018, with the slogan of "Work together on smoking cessation" to encourage more young and pillars of families to quit smoking. The smoking cessation success rate of participants were up to 70%, which helped an estimate of more than 15 thousand families on avoiding secondhand and thirdhand smoke, and assisted participants on winning both the contest prize and their own health. In order to integrate early childhood education on tobacco hazards in daily life for the youth to understand smoking hazards, the "Teacher's Manual for Media Literacy on Youth Smoking" is being compiled to help students improve their concept and awareness of emerging tobacco hazards, identify the tricks of tobacco industry, and strengthen the student's ability to refuse tobacco via the interdisciplinary approaches to interactive teaching. "Diversified Smoking Cessation Services" to Support the Health of Nicotine Addicted Smokers Smoking only brings harm to our bodies, and nicotine are highly addictive and requires professional medical assistance to successfully overcome smokers addictions.
