Smoking cessation experience and quit attempt As the proportion of the smoking population slowly shrinks, more and more current smokers expressed an increasing willingness to quit smoking. About 60% of student smokers in junior high schools and senior high and vocational schools also responded that they had experiences in smoking cessation in the last year (Fig. 3-12, Fig. 3-13). About 50-60% of junior high school students and senior high and vocational school students expressed a willingness to quit smoking (Fig. 3-14, Fig. 3-15).
