FSC chairman Wellington Koo delivered the opening remarks at the event, which was attended by more than 200 academics and industry professionals. There, TAIFEX representatives held one-on-one meetings with major Singaporean institutional investors to better understand their views on the Taiwan futures market and on how to encourage their participation in it. 委託證基會辦理「上市櫃公司衍生性商品避險實務研討會」，以協助上市櫃公司有 12/13 效運用衍生性金融商品以規避利率風險、匯率風險及原物料成本波動風險，吸引超過 100位上市櫃(興櫃)公司董事、監察人、公司治理主管與高階主管參加。 At the behest of TAIFEX, the Securities & Futures Institute hosted a forum on how listed companies can use derivatives products to hedge. The forum helped such companies understand how to utilize derivatives to hedge risks associated with fluctuations in interest rates, exchanges rates, and raw materials prices. More than 100 directors, supervisors and senior managers of listed companies attended. 與證交所旗下子公司臺灣指數公司共同舉行「臺灣股市期 權策略系列指數發表會」，正式發表首波三檔指數―「臺股期 12/18 貨指數」、「加權指數掩護性臺指買權價外5%報酬指數」及 「智慧中立指數」，由金管會張副主委傳章、期交所許董事長 虞哲(時任)、證交所暨臺指公司許董事長璋瑤及規劃推出相關 商品之永豐投信林董事長弘立、統一投信游副總麗美及富邦證 券吳副總仁傑等發行人代表共同進行指數合作啟動儀式。 TAIFEX partnered with Taiwan Index Plus (TIP), a subsidiary of the Taiwan Stock Exchange, to hold a ceremony marking the introduction of the Taiwan Strategic Indices, formally launching the TIP TAIFEX TAIEX Futures Index, the TIP TAIFEX TAIEX Covered Call OTM 5% Total Return Index, and the TIP TAIFEX Smart Multi-factor 30 Market Neutral Index. The event's attendees included FSC vice-chairman Chuang-Chang Chang, then TAIFEX chairman Yu-Jer Sheu, and TWSE and TIP chairman Jan-Yau Hsu, as well as representatives of issuers of related products, including SinoPac SITC chairman Henry Lin, Uni-President Asset Management vice president Li-Mei You, and Fubon Securities vice president Jen-Chieh Wu.
